CERTIFICATE IN LOGISTICS AND SUPPLY CHAIN MANAGEMENT

Introduction

Logistics and Supply Chain Management skills are in great need and demand in every sector of society.  While most often seen in the manufacturing and trading environments, there is increasing awareness of the importance of supply chains in areas like information technology, public health, primary industries and even education.

Giles Brooker Academy (GBA) has developed and delivered many programmes related to Supply Chain Management  with partners in Singapore, India and New Zealand.

Graduate Outcomes​

Graduates of the Certificate in Logistics and Supply Chain Management will be able to:

  • Communicate effectively across different layers of an enterprise’s internal and external supply chain to identify and facilitate resolution of issues.
  • Monitor performance in all aspects of logistics across the supply chain (e.g.demand planning, procurement, inventory management, warehousing, customer service, transport, etc.) and identify opportunities for cost reduction or improved service.
  • Identify techniques to optimize product flow into, within and out of a warehouse.
  • Analyse business situations, identify logistics and supply chain issues and explain solutions in a logical manner.
  • Demonstrate problem solving skills via the evaluation of supply chain systems from different perspectives.
  • Identify and evaluate the impact of current and emerging trends and challenges facing various industries on supply chain strategies.

Entry requirements

Candidates for the programme will be expected to

  • have achieved completion of a diploma or at least two years study towards any degree
  • show a basic level of competency in IT skills. If necessary a short test will be applied to help assess these skills
