Students in New Zealand are supported to solve problems, process information, work with others, create and innovate. Whichever level you’re studying at, New Zealand can give you a high-quality education that will enable you to achieve your goals.

New Zealand is ranked the 4th Most Peaceful Country, according to the Global Peace Index.  With crime rates much lower than other countries, you can focus on your studies and enjoy everything New Zealand has to offer.

New Zealand students enjoy a healthy study/life balance – some say it’s the best in the world. You can live in an urban environment within easy reach of New Zealand’s stunning landscape and wide open spaces.

We will help you find not just the best programme, but the best for you. We will help you consider your study and life experiences and reflect on your options both for gaining a useful qualification and for extending your life skills.

Students who are keen to do their higher studies internationally but need some extra academic or language support may benefit from our pathway programmes which allow them to start in India and complete a Foundation programme in New Zealand with an assured offer of place into one of New Zealand’s top universities.

If you haven’t yet taken your first degree, you may wish to consider a full degree in one of the many degree-granting institutions or a shorter diploma which focuses more closely on immediate vocational and career goals.

If you have completed a degree and want to extend your knowledge and skills in a discipline which you have already studied, ask us to help you find a good postgraduate programme (PGDip or Masters or even a PhD).

If you have completed a degree and want to spread your knowledge and skill base into another field, institutions in New Zealand offer a range of excellent Graduate Diplomas. These can often be used to provide access to a post-graduate degree programme if your first degree doesn’t cover the range of content required by the New Zealand institution.

New Zealand welcomes PhD candidates into its universities with strong support from the supervisor and institution and very supportive conditions from the government which include subsidized fees, work rights and spouse and family visa opportunities.

Globally, universities are encouraging students to take a semester abroad during their degree programme.  New Zealand universities are very welcoming to semester abroad students and we have successfully found exciting options for students in different disciplines.  We can also help you make the necessary arrangements with your home university.

We are able to help students enrol in specially-developed programmes that allow you to start in one country and complete in another.

During Study programme

International students may work to meet course requirements for practical work experience, or during the Christmas and New Year holiday period if they are in a full-time course of study lasting 12 months or longer, and/or · for up to 20 hours in any given week during the academic year if they are in full-time study: or at a private training establishment or tertiary institution and taking at least two academic years to complete, or culminating in a New Zealand qualification that would qualify for points under the Skilled Migrant Category.

After Study programme

Following a public consultation, Government has come up with changes to immigration settings that impact post-study work rights for international students.

  • to remove the employer-assisted post-study work visas at all levels;
  • to provide a one-year post-study open work visa for students studying Level 4 – 6 and non-degree Level 7 qualifications, with an additional year for Graduate Diploma graduates who are working towards registration with a professional or trade body;
  • to provide a two-year post-study open work visa for students studying Level 4 – 6 and non-degree Level 7 qualifications outside Auckland, provided study is completed by December 2021, at which point the entitlement for post-study work rights reverts to a one-year post-study open work visa for students studying Level 4 – 6 and non-degree Level 7 qualifications with an additional year for Graduate Diploma graduates who are working towards registration with a professional or trade body;
  • to provide a three-year post-study open work visa for degree Level 7 or above qualifications; and
  • to require international students studying Level 8 qualifications to be in an area specified on the Long Term Skills Shortage list, in order for their partner to be eligible for an open work visa, and in turn the partners’ dependent children to be eligible for fee-free domestic schooling.
    These changes come into effect on 26 November 2018.

Nilesh Krishnaa

Nilesh studied a Semester Abroad in Unitec Institute of Technology. He says that: "My first impression of New Zealand was out of the world. The cultural diversity of New Zealand is an amazing experience, full of surprises and astonishment. I lived in Auckland and I really don’t have words to share my joy. I travelled around New Zealand exploring the scenic landscapes. I met lots of people and made friends from New Zealand and other countries, which will be a good memory throughout my life. I did my semester abroad at UNITEC Institute of Technology In Auckland. The benefit that I gained by studying at UNITEC, New Zealand at personal and professional level is the chance to study with other students and teachers from different countries. In summary, I am really grateful to my parents, Manipal Staffs and Giles Brooker Education who helped and gave me the privilege to succeed and pursue my study, as well as to live an outstanding life in New Zealand to improve my academic and cultural knowledge.

Sherwyn Costa

Sherwyn has completed his Bachelor of Tourism in the University of Waikato. He says that "the experience in New Zealand was one of the best that I have ever had. Travelling to a new country was a bit scary at the beginning as I had to travel on my own, however, I had family in Auckland and I felt a lot more comfortable and secure having them around. The people of New Zealand were very friendly and more than anything humble. There was not one moment where we were helpless as we had help from all sides. The University of Waikato truly was amazing. The staff and students were extremely friendly and would go out of the way to help. Food was never a problem for me and I did not miss home food as I am a fitness enthusiast and loved preparing healthy food for myself and sometimes for my mates. I am a resident of Goa and so I really missed the extra socializing part from home. That was the only part which I felt was missing in New Zealand. For students wanting to study in New Zealand, I must say go for it and experience a different world and I say its a different world because the beauty in that country is something that cannot be found anywhere else. Good luck". Pradyut Ashok

Pradyut Ashok

Pradyut also completed a Bachelor of Tourism in the University of Waikato. His father Mr. Ashok Ganapathy says that "When my son was admitted to BHMTT course in WGSHA, Manipal University and had orientation, he was clear that he will go to Waikato University to complete the course. At the beginning of the 3rd semester, he got in touch with GBE representative in Manipal for the formalities required. Right from that time to the day he landed in New Zealand, GBE was instrumental in giving right directions to him and make him comfortable in undergoing all the processes required for admission. GBE was of great help in ensuring all the correct forms were filled. After getting the offer letter, they helped in getting appointment for medicals for visa, guided us correctly in fulfilling all visa requirements, co-ordinated excellently with Waikato University to complete hostel accommodation, fees and all such related matters. In case of my son, when there was a delay in visa, they helped in getting an extension letter from the University to enable the visa process to be expedited. When my son landed in Auckland, the Chairman of GBE was at the airport to receive him and give some last minute tips. Subsequently also they have been in touch with him for any help required and have also met him and other students from Manipal to get feedback about any problems faced by them. I would definitely like to express my gratitude and sincere thanks to Ms.Prabha Govindasamy and Mr. Balamurugan of their Coimbatore office for the excellent co-ordination work and all other help rendered to us in ensuring Pradyut, my son, goes to Waikato University. He is enjoying his studies at Waikato and always tells us that the mode and style of study in NZ is so good and practical, that he enjoys giving his best in all study related matters. The faculty and administrative personnel in the University are excellent and are always willing to help in any situation".

Giles Brooker Education guided me in everything to send my son to New Zealand. They gave me all information about universities, colleges and polytechnics. I opted for Massey university as it is best for Mechatronics BE. If one can afford the fees and the student ready to work hard for his or her future, this is good choice.
